Introduction
You’ve probably heard of the 80/20 rule, also known as the Pareto principle. The basic principle says roughly 80% of your results are generated from 20% of your efforts. If we’re talking about applying this principle to our fitness lifestyle, that would mean that 80% of our weight loss, comes from the top 20% of our training and nutrition.
In reality, it really doesn’t matter what numbers you apply 90/10 or 70/30, the important thing to understand is that there are certain activities in life, that account for the majority of your rewards.
I believe this concept is truly fundamental to everyone and can change your life.
It’s really helped me understand how I should be spending my time and what I should be focusing on in every area of my life. Now I plan my day and activities in advance so I know exactly what my ideal day looks like and how to spend my time effectively knowing what results I can expect and the happiness I will feel when I have achieved what I’ve set out to.
I have stopped putting equal effort, time and resources into everything I do and put more focus and energy into where the majority of my happiness and results comes from.
