Cash flow and Personal CFO
Personal CFO Services
You run a $50M P&L at work. Who runs yours?
Most of my clients manage huge budgets for their company. Then tax time comes and they feel like a first year graduate. Their RSUs, super, mortgage, tax and insurance all sit with different people, and nobody is joining the dots. That’s the job of a personal CFO.
The role
What Is a Personal CFO?
A company CFO doesn’t do the bookkeeping. They look at the whole balance sheet, set the strategy and make sure every part of the business pulls in the same direction.
I do the same for your household. One person who sees everything: your salary, bonus, RSUs, super, home equity, loans, tax, insurance and estate. And who makes sure every decision moves you toward one goal: work becoming optional, years before 65.
You probably already have an accountant, a broker, a super fund and an insurer. Each one looks after their piece. A personal CFO looks after how the pieces fit together.
Without a CFO
- Your accountant sees last year’s tax.
- Your broker sees your loan.
- Your super fund sees your balance.
- Nobody sees the whole picture.
With one, every decision is made with the full plan in view.
One plan
What I Look After
Everything that moves your net worth, in one place.
RSUs and equity
Sell down plans matched to your vest dates. The 33% Rule. Tax planned before each vest.
Cash flow
Fixed costs, a fortnightly living allowance and a surplus that actually shows up.
Debt recycling
Turning your home loan into tax deductible investment debt, set up end to end.
Property and lending
Loan structure, offset accounts and borrowing power, coordinated with the rest of the plan.
Protection and legacy
Insurance that fits, and an estate plan that protects your family.
How it works
How Working With Me Works
Step one is the plan. The results come from what happens after it. See all six steps of my Private Wealth Program →
Step 1
Your Early Retirement Blueprint
Two free strategy sessions. We run your servicing to see what you can borrow and which strategies are open to you. Then your full plan, delivered within 30 days. At its heart is retirement income modelling: exactly how you’ll reach $15K to $25K a month, with debt recycling as the engine. It comes with a 100% money back guarantee if you’re not happy with the strategy.
Step 2
Implementation
This is where most plans die. I act as your CFO and project manage all the subject matter experts: your accountant, broker and solicitor. We set it up together: the accounts, the line of credit, the super contributions, the RSU sell down, the insurance. A few months in, we make sure you’re okay and you see the value of advice to date.
Step 3
Ongoing, as your personal CFO
I track your net worth every 6 months, to make sure it’s growing at the rate you need to build the asset base that funds your retirement. Your year runs on your calendar, not mine. Vest dates, bonus season, 30 June, a promotion, a job offer. When something changes, the plan changes with it. You call me, not a call centre.
What it costs
While your managed portfolio, including super, is under $1.5M, the Personal CFO service is $500 a month. That covers the hands on work: cash flow, loan restructuring, debt recycling, and project managing your accountant, broker and other specialists.
We also charge a tiered portfolio management fee on the investments we manage for you, inside and outside super.
Once your portfolio passes $1.5M, the $500 a month switches off. Clients love that moment. It means the plan is working.
Your exact fees are set out in your Statement of Advice before you commit.
The difference
Personal CFO vs a Traditional Financial Adviser
A lot of advice still focuses narrowly on super and shares. That works for some people. It doesn’t work when most of your wealth is in RSUs, home equity and a bonus that changes every year.
Before financial planning I spent 9 years in stockbroking and options trading. I’ve been a financial planner for 18 years, I invest in property myself, and I specialise in tech equity: RSUs, ESPPs and options. That’s the mix this role needs.
What you get with me
- You deal with me and a small team who know you by name. No call centre.
- RSUs, property, lending, tax and super in one plan
- Built around vest dates and bonus cycles
- A network of vetted brokers, buyers’ agents, accountants and lawyers
- Advice, not products
Fit check
Who This Is For
These are the same questions I ask on your Clarity Call. Being upfront saves us both time.
A good fit
- Aged 40 or over
- Working in tech, often at a large global tech company
- Household income of $400K or more, usually with big commissions or RSUs on top
- At least $500K in super
- At least $1M of equity in your family home
- Able to save at least $4,000 a month above your minimum mortgage repayments
- Time poor, and tired of being your own CFO
Probably not a fit
- You want a one-off product or a quick tip
- You want SMSF advice. I don’t offer it.
- You’d rather run it all yourself, and you enjoy it
I work with around 150 clients today. I take on 4 new clients a month, and once I reach 200, I close my books.

Client example
What This Looks Like in Practice
A Sales Director, early 50s, at a US listed tech company in Sydney. A $250K base, $250K to $550K in commission, $1M in shares and $900K in super. Great income, but every piece was handled separately, and there was no clear retirement date.
We pulled it into one plan: a quarterly RSU sell down matched to his vest dates, a $1 million investment line of credit against his home equity, super contributions for both partners, and a testamentary trust for the kids. Then we kept it running.

Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
What is a personal CFO?
A personal CFO looks after your whole financial picture the way a company CFO looks after a business. Instead of separate advice on tax, super, loans and shares, one person coordinates all of it around a single goal. For my clients, that goal is usually making work optional years before 65.
How is a personal CFO different from a financial adviser?
I am a financial adviser. The difference is scope and how long I stay involved. Traditional advice often focuses on super and shares, delivered once. As your personal CFO, I look after your RSUs, cash flow, debt recycling, tax, super, lending and estate as one plan, and I stay with you as things change.
Do I still need an accountant?
Yes. Your accountant handles compliance and lodges your return. I handle the strategy that shapes what ends up on it. Where it helps, I work with your accountant directly.
Who is a personal CFO for?
Senior tech professionals aged 40 or over, with a household income of $400K or more, at least $500K in super and at least $1M of equity in their home. People who can save $4,000 a month above their minimum mortgage repayments, and who are tired of being their own CFO.
Will I deal with you or someone else?
You deal with me and a small team who know you by name. Chris, Jarrod and Megan work on your advice with me, so nothing is missed. That’s also why I take on only 4 new clients a month.
How much does a personal CFO cost?
$500 a month while your managed portfolio, including super, is under $1.5M, plus a tiered portfolio management fee. Once your portfolio passes $1.5M, the $500 a month switches off.
